Lift owners are always looking to SVI for help when they encounter wear issues with the Rotary lifts they own. One such example is SVI’s quick response to arm restraint engagement issues on late model two post surface lift models such as SPO9 and SPOA9. SVI engineered a main arm restraint gear with elongated mounting holes that allow for precise adjustment of the main gear. Why? As the lift begins to wear over time, the swing arms begin to slightly sag from normal wear. This condition causes the main gear to be forced forward into the engaging gear. As the fit tightens the interference problem results in increased wear on both gears, shorter service life and possibly impaired function.
When the gears are shot, you can replace everything but since there is no adjustability with the OE version, the newly replaced pieces simply wear prematurely. SVI’s adjustable version of the main gear solves the increased interference problem by allowing you to install the main gear back slightly to its originally intended position, providing for correct fit and function.
