Vapor recovery hoses reduce the number of fumes that are let back into the environment. By using this recovery process there is less of a chance for these potentially explosive fumes to escape. Vapor recovery hoses also reduces pollution by collecting the fumes, so they do not escape into the atmosphere. Breathing in small amounts of gasoline vapors can also cause throat irritation, headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, confusion and breathing difficulties. The collected vapors are stored in the underground gasoline tank (UST) and collected by fuel tankers the next time the underground tank is filled with gasoline. The tanker truck then returns the fumes to processing facilities to be converted into liquid gasoline.

SVI offers a variety of Clamshell Hose Clamps for Straight Wall Curb Pump Hose, Hose Clamps for Coaxial Vapor Recovery Hose, Vapor Assist Hose, EV Charger Cables, and Ball-Shaped Clamps for Single Hose, EV charging cables, and more. Many sizes available.

SVI has supported the most well-known petroleum equipment companies, as well as many pump manufactures, with a wide array of products since 1977. These petroleum equipment companies are involved in sales, service, and installation of industry-leading products to meet all fueling equipment and service needs. Most professional petroleum equipment companies are responsive 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make sure fueling equipment is running smooth and functioning properly.

Many pump manufacturers, (OEM’s) trust SVI’s quality and dependability to deliver products that are reliable in the various conditions that these clamps encounter. Retractor hose clamps are used to retract gasoline, or diesel pump hoses. Keeping these hoses off the ground creates a safer experience for the user, as tripping over a hose left on the ground can lead to serious injury. Hoses that are left to drag on the ground as consumers insert the nozzle into their tank, may suffer from pre-mature wear. This poses not only a major safety risk to those at the fuel station, but it costs the owner of the station money as they must replace worn or damaged hoses. This can also create a risk for our planet as spilled gasoline, or diesel can make its way into the ground, and reach water tables contaminating our drinking water. Many well-known petroleum equipment companies turn to SVI to get parts efficiently as SVI carries a large array of service station pumps and tanks products.

Fleet facilities are locations that fleets, or many vehicles belonging to a business entity, can refuel their vehicles. These facilities offer lower priced fuel, in exchange for a commitment from the business entity to solely use their fueling facility. Many fleet facilities utilize pumps that differ from what many average consumers see. These pumps need the same care and maintenance as those at traditional gasoline stations. By creating parts for these stations, SVI is helping many large transportation companies stay on the road. Many delivery services such has UPS, FedEx, and USPS fill up at their own fueling facilities. Without such care and maintenance, companies and consumers would not get their deliveries in a timely manner, and the economy would suffer. These pumps are repaired right on the spot, ensuring they are fixed quickly and safe to operate.

Many fuel facilities that need longer hoses use hose retractors to store the hose neatly and safely off the drive. They are commonly seen at fleet facilities who provide fuel to transportation companies, school bus operators, police vehicles, fire trucks, government vehicles, and much more. SVI carries many products to help those who service these fuel facilities, and pumps.

Why is it so important that service stations are regularly maintained? Most of the vehicles in the United States are run on either gasoline or diesel at this time. The vehicle market is currently switching to EV, as it is much more sustainable. In 2035 any new vehicle for sale in California must be electric. Chargers for these EV vehicles will also need clamps to assist in keeping the cords off the ground, as it would also be a hazard to customers. SVI has created such clamps due to the newly found need in the market. By creating a safe environment for users to charge their vehicles, SVI is providing the parts needed to keep others safe. By keeping accidents at the pump low, consumers are trusting in the companies providing them fuel, or electricity. Companies who maintain and repair fuel stations are the unknown heroes in the transportation industry. Many of these companies turn to SVI for quality and precision they can rely on.

SVI’s role is ever growing and adapting to match the market’s needs. It is very important that parts are delivered to these manufacturers and petroleum equipment companies. SVI ensures that cars, trucks, buses, and more are fueled safely, and efficiently, allowing those who operate the vehicles to get back to work.
