About John Bean
The Food Machinery Corporation (FMC) is behind the John Bean name. FMC went through several name changes over the years, and you know them as the John Bean Company, which is now a subsidiary of Snap-On. John Bean founded the John Bean Spray Pump in 1904, which were often used as portable fire fighting pumps, and eventually led to the first fire trucks. His firm developed the first wheel aligner, dynamic wheel balancer, and many other innovative automotive servicing technologies. Now owned by Snap-on Equipment, John Bean manufactures wheel aligners, audit systems, wheel balancers, alignment lifts, automotive lifts, and brake lathes in addition to tire changers.
